Job Description
As a Project Manager at Fortude, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of projects. This includes driving planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project scope, develop and maintain detailed schedules, and ensure delivery is aligned with project objectives and methodologies. PMs are expected to demonstrate ownership, sound judgment, and effective leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure
- Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop, update, and manage detailed project plans, resource plans, and quality plans
- Lead cross-functional teams (consulting, technical, QA) to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery
- Coordinate with resource planning to ensure appropriate resource allocation
- Monitor and control project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes proactively
- Conduct regular project status meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Drive issue resolution and facilitate decision-making among stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with Fortude's project management standards and documentation guidelines
- Collaborate with clients to ensure expectations are met and managed
- Lead cutover planning and execution, including go-live support
- Provide input into budget planning and ensure adherence to financial constraints
- Mentor junior team members and guide them through project delivery practices
Experience
- 4 - 6 years of experience in project management with 2+ years in a Project Manager role
- Proven experience delivering ERP or software implementation projects
- Experience managing geographically dispersed cross-functional teams is preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or related field
- PMP / Agile / Scrum certification (preferred or in progress)
Technical Competencies
- Project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
- Deep understanding of project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA)
- Familiarity with corporate tools and systems used for time, cost, and quality management
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel based on project needs (local and overseas)
- Flexibility to work across time zones in hybrid delivery models
