Business Development Specialist

Scopic is looking for a sharp, AI-savvy analyst to join our team as a Business Development Specialist.

This isn’t your typical BD role — we’re looking for someone who blends analytical rigor with marketing insight, business acumen, and a love for emerging technologies. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape go-to-market strategies, identify opportunities, and bring data-driven clarity to our business development and partnership efforts.

This is a full-time, remote position. The ideal candidate will have enough schedule flexibility to collaborate effectively with team members across various time zones.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on markets, competitors, industry trends, and potential partners to inform strategic decisions
• Collect, analyze, and interpret business, marketing, and financial data to generate actionable insights
• Build reports and tools to support planning and execution of business development, marketing, and partnership strategies
• Support partnership development by identifying, evaluating, and initiating strategic collaborations
• Contribute to marketing and sales initiatives including positioning, content planning, segmentation, and messaging
• Track, test, and implement emerging AI tools and trends for internal and client-related initiatives
• Assist in product management activities including research, planning, defining requirements, and coordinating delivery
• Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and sales teams to align go-to-market strategies
• Participate in customer or strategic calls as needed
• Support the Head of Business Development on high-priority initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, strategy, marketing, or business development
• Strong skills in Excel; experience with data visualization or analytics tools is a plus
• Understanding of core marketing concepts (content, positioning, segmentation)
• Foundational knowledge of financial analysis and modeling
• Demonstrated interest in and use of AI tools for productivity and strategic innovation
• Comfortable communicating with clients and stakeholders in English
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with CRMs or marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot)
• Prior experience in B2B software, consulting, or digital services
• Knowledge of outbound sales or campaign performance metrics
• Exposure to product management or product launch cycles
