Location: Infomate Head Office, Colombo 01
Shift: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm
Role Overview
As the Team Lead – Payroll Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process for multiple clients. You will lead and mentor a team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services while maintaining strict compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws and tax regulations. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage complex client inquiries, coordinate with various stakeholders, and drive operational efficiency to ensure high client satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll processing for multiple clients.
- Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns and complex payroll-related inquiries.
- Review and approve payroll computations, statutory deductions, and final reports before delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, EPF/ETF, APIT, and other statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT teams, and external stakeholders including clients, auditors, and regulators.
- Maintain and continuously improve payroll policies, procedures, and process documentation.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance development for team members.
- Track and monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan payroll regulations and statutory compliance.
- Experience working in a payroll outsourcing or shared services environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
