Java Staff Developers for Insurance Platform Training
Key Requirements / Responsibilities
- BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M.Tech with at least 2 years of Java development experience
- Hands-on experience in JEE 8/9
- Strong hands-on experience and knowledge in Core Java
- Hands-on experience with Web Services, REST APIs, Collections, and Batches
- Strong experience in data structures, design patterns, and algorithms
- Good experience with databases SQL / PL SQL
- Experience in backend testing using JUnit / Mockito
- Experience working in an Agile environment with a good understanding of Agile processes
- Knowledge of the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is preferred
(Mandatory for India-based hires) - Experience in understanding and applying best practices, coding standards, and reducing technical debt
- Experience in peer code reviews and providing constructive feedback aligned with industry best practices
- Experience working across multiple time zones and geographies
- Experience working in small pods/teams to achieve collective outcomes
- Experience using version control tools such as SVN / Git
- Experience in maintaining effective communication with Team Leads and client teams regarding status, issues, risks, and concerns
- Direct client experience, including working with client teams in on-site and/or offshore models
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Skills & Expertise
- Strong command of verbal and written English with crisp business communication skills (mandatory)
- Experience in Core Java / JEE, Spring, Hibernate, XML, HTML, JSP, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Web Services, REST APIs, Collections, and Batches
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is preferred
