About the Role
The Transport Solutions Lead plays a critical role in driving profitable growth by building and optimising our carrier network, ensuring access to the best transport solutions across cost, service, and network efficiency. This role supports pricing new opportunities and contributes to margin improvement for existing accounts, helping us bring more shippers onto the platform.
Success in this role depends on the ability to continually optimise our growing network while expanding our pool of carrier partners, ensuring Ofload maintains a competitive advantage in service offerings and pricing.
What You'll Do
- Pricing & Solution Design: Develop and deliver pricing solutions for prospective customers in line with submission deadlines and expectations
- Margin Performance: Ensure minimal variance between priced margins and actual margins, refining pricing models and inputs to improve accuracy
- Opportunity Conversion: Support the conversion of new business opportunities with competitive transport solutions
- Capability Expansion: Identify and onboard new carriers to broaden service capabilities and enhance Ofload's value proposition
- Network Development: Work with internal teams to optimise the carrier network for cost, service, and coverage
- Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain Operations, Finance, and Growth teams on pricing strategy, network development, and customer requirements
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on KPIs related to pricing accuracy, margin performance, network capabilities, and new carrier onboarding
Qualifications & Skills
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of middle-mile and last-mile logistics, particularly for FMCG customers
- Negotiation & Relationship Management: Proven ability to negotiate and build long-term, mutually beneficial supplier relationships
- Communication & Collaboration: Effective communicator skilled at facilitating cross-team collaboration
- Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Numerically strong, capable of interpreting models and data to inform decisions
- High Standards: Strives for continual improvement in personal and team performance
- Adaptability: Open to change, responding with resilience and agility while encouraging others to embrace change
