About the Role
A Full Stack Python Developer is required for a leading global provider of sports betting brokerage software, based in London. You will join a small, high-calibre engineering team, working closely with quantitative researchers to build, enhance, and support systematic trading models.
This role combines backend engineering, frontend development, and platform architecture, offering exposure to modern tech stacks and real-time, data-intensive systems.
What You’ll Do
- Write high-quality asynchronous Python code to interact with external websites and APIs.
- Build responsive, data-rich frontend features using React and TypeScript.
- Participate in architectural discussions and propose platform and performance improvements.
- Work in a Linux-based environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Follow Agile practices using Scrum, GitLab, and Jira.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and quantitative researchers on trading-related systems.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of commercial Python experience with strong asynchronous programming skills.
- 2+ years of frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Proven ability to build and maintain polished, responsive user interfaces.
- Experience with REST APIs and modern web frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend build tools.
- Strong Linux and Git skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time data handling.
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
- Experience with data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib).
- Knowledge of modern C++ (C++17+).
- Interest in sports betting, financial services, or trading platforms.
