Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Japanese Interpreter to support client communication and internal documentation translation. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and effective translation of spoken and written content—particularly policies and business communications—bridging language gaps between our Japanese-speaking clients and internal teams.
Note: This is an hour-based contract role with flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation during client calls, meetings, and presentations.
- Translate business documents, policies, emails, and other written materials between Japanese and English.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in both spoken and written translations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate smooth communication during projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist in creating bilingual documentation or training materials when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of proficiency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
- Prior experience as an interpreter or translator, preferably in a corporate or client-facing environment.
- Strong understanding of business terminology and ability to accurately convey meaning.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation tools or software is an added advantage.
