Position: Intern – QA Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intern – QA Engineer to join our growing team working on a cutting-edge healthcare platform. This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality, performance, security, and compliance of our web and mobile applications and APIs that power critical healthcare services for patients, doctors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API components
• Perform manual and automated functional testing against requirements and user stories
• Conduct non-functional testing including performance, security, usability, and compatibility testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure full test coverage
• Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA or similar issue trackers
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices
• Ensure testing activities comply with healthcare data security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)
• Support production deployments and perform post-release validation

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in QA for web, mobile applications, and APIs
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured)
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is an advantage
• Understanding of secure testing practices, especially in regulated industries
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality software

• Experience testing healthcare applications or working with healthcare data and compliance standards
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge for test automation frameworks
