Job Description
Role Overview
We’re looking for an Associate Software Engineer (ASE) with around 1 year of experience, who’s comfortable writing code and excited to grow into a strong full-stack engineer. This role is hands-on, but you’ll always have support from senior engineers. You’ll help build features, fix bugs, and explore AI-powered capabilities without the pressure of owning full systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features using TypeScript, Express.js, and React.js
- Handle basic PostgreSQL and MongoDB queries and data models
- Assist with AI integrations such as OpenAI, embeddings, and simple automation flows
- Debug issues, fix bugs, and contribute to code quality
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices
- Support deployments on AWS, Docker, and Vercel when needed
- Work closely with product and design teams to turn requirements into clean implementations
Requirements
- Around 1 year of software development experience (internships included)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Comfortable with Node.js / Express or React
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
- Interest in AI-driven features
- Basic knowledge of Git and API development
- Good problem-solving mindset and willingness to ask questions
- Ability to work in a collaborative startup environment
