About the Role
Platform Engineer (Virtualization & DevOps)
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to design, automate, and manage our on-prem virtualization environments including Proxmox, VMware Omnissa, and Citrix. You will be part of the DevOps team, integrating on-prem workloads with our cloud-native practices.
This role requires a strong technical foundation — from hypervisor installation to full automation — along with the ability to collaborate closely with DevOps, security, and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer Proxmox clusters (VM lifecycle management, HA, backups, Ceph/ZFS)
- Build, configure, and test Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops and VMware Omnissa environments from the ground up
- Harden and patch Linux and Windows VMs, deploying Wazuh agents for monitoring and compliance
- Automate VM provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to deliver VM-based environments to developers as a platform product
- Contribute to hybrid integrations, linking Proxmox/VMware environments with GCP services
- Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and reusable templates in Git repositories for transparency and reproducibility

Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Proxmox administration (KVM, clustering, storage)
- Strong expertise in Citrix and VMware Omnissa, from setup to troubleshooting
- Solid Linux and Windows server administration skills
- Automation experience using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Exposure to observability and security tooling (Wazuh, Prometheus exporters)
- 4–6+ years of experience in systems/virtualization engineering with DevOps practices
