Software Engineer Intern

At 3axislabs, we’re building AI-powered mind mapping for fast thinking, planning, and learning. As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll ship real features, touch our AI stack, and see your work in production used by thousands.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, test, and ship end-to-end features (UI, APIs, data layer).
• Improve performance, reliability, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Diagnose and resolve defects; write clear tests and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and iterative planning with engineering and product.
• Contribute to code quality standards, observability, and maintainability.

Skills we’re looking for

• Java + Spring Boot fundamentals (controllers, services, dependency injection, configuration).
• Frontend fundamentals: semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; responsive layouts and browser dev tools.
• REST/HTTP basics, JSON, error handling, and logging.
• SQL literacy (queries, schema basics); Git and CLI comfort.
• Templating (Thymeleaf/JSP) or modern JS (TypeScript, bundlers).
• Clear communication, ownership mindset, and a bias to ship.
