To support this mission, we are seeking a Java Spring Boot Developer to join our Transformation Realized™ Consulting practice. Our team operates within EY’s Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) cluster, delivering market-leading services to organizations in Cyprus and internationally.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-native Java-based microservices
- Participate in technical solution design and solution architecture definition, ensuring security, high availability, scalability, resiliency, and recoverability
- Write and execute unit tests
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
- Support and perform software deployments and releases
- Perform root-cause analysis to identify defects and bugs
- Support, guide, and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate within Agile teams and across wider project teams to achieve client goals
- Use observability tools to monitor application performance and improve reliability
To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, or a related field
- 3–6 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with service-oriented environments and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring, Spring MVC)
- Experience implementing cloud-native microservices
- Experience with source code management, CI/CD, and automated deployment
- Knowledge of application security, including authentication, authorization, and encryption
- Very good knowledge of SQL and DBMS
- Knowledge of clean code principles and unit testing
- Experience developing software using Agile methodologies
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
Ideally, You Should Also Have
- Certifications in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, or related technologies
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar technologies)
- Experience using Spring Cloud Config Server or similar platforms
