Job Description
We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and users. You will focus on developing server-side logic, maintaining databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Basic understanding of front-end technologies is also required for integration with front-end elements.
Responsibilities
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers.
- Build efficient, reusable, and testable PHP modules.
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Integrate data storage solutions (databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.).
- Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications.
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable PHP code.
- Work with MySQL databases, optimizing queries and database structures.
- Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to implement responsive and interactive web designs.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
- Maintain documentation for development work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (Laravel, Yii, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.).
- Understanding of fully synchronous behavior of PHP.
- Familiarity with MVC design patterns.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Object-oriented PHP programming expertise.
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- Knowledge of common PHP/web server exploits and their solutions.
- Design principles for scalable applications.
- Experience with user authentication and authorization across systems and servers.
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Creating database schemas to support business processes.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and query languages.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration.
- Version control systems: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket.
- Optional but valuable: knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular), cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, CMS platforms (WordPress, Magento).
- Experience in unit testing and debugging PHP applications.
