Engineer - Java

Key Responsibilities

• Follow best coding practices defined by software management
• Follow secure coding practices defined by OWASP
• Perform unit testing (TDD preferred)
• Bug fixing and code improvements
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Follow Agile development processes
• Ensure on-time delivery of assigned tasks
• Maintain clear visibility, communication, and timely escalation of roadblocks

Person Specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • or BSc equivalent qualification with 3+ years of experience
• 1+ year of experience in Software Engineering with:
  • Java / Spring Boot
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals and core concepts
• Solid algorithm knowledge with the ability to code in at least one programming language
• Ability to learn new programming languages as required
• Good understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS)
• Good understanding of Scrum and Agile practices
