About the Team
Computer Services are the backbone of support for all colleagues across NEXT and NEXT Technology. The team covers first-line central support, Data Access, and Service Management, while managing centrally hosted environments. They also support critical services such as essential communications, managed print, and reprographics.
About the Role
Reporting to the ServiceNow Team Leader and working closely with a Technical Specialist, this role is responsible for the delivery and rollout of new functionality across the Core ServiceNow platform.
Responsibilities
- Scope, implement, and test projects, including documentation and stakeholder communication
- Develop and deploy platform changes, coordinating with third-party vendors where required
- Perform regression testing and apply fixes for upgrades and patches
- Provide technical guidance and reviews for junior ServiceNow developers
- Drive adoption of best practices and test management using Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Design and implement automation using integrations and ServiceNow platform capabilities
Criteria
- Proven experience developing on the ServiceNow platform
- Hands-on implementation experience in one or more of the following:
- ITSM
- Customer Service Management
- Integrated Risk Management
- Predictive Intelligence / Task Intelligence
- Performance Analytics
- Virtual Agent and NLU
- Experience developing and customizing Workspaces
- Strong understanding of platform best practices, table structures, security rules (ACLs), and client/server-side scripting
- Knowledge of JavaScript, ServiceNow Glide APIs, AJAX, and XML
- Experience in Service Portal development (HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Bootstrap)
- System integration experience using REST and SOAP web services
- Strong communication skills across all business levels
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale platforms
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies (advantageous)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – desirable
